Kinder to Grade 6
   
In
the Kindergarten – Grade 5 section we have 14 classes (including two Kindergarten groups). We have a number of
intervention and special programs operating.
BRIDGES
An intensive
one to one Literacy Program for students in Prep to Year 6.
LITERACY SUPPORT
Intensive,
targets support is provided in Grade 3-6 classes to ensure on-going support for
students at risk and or those who need extension.
PRE-KINDER PROGRAMS
Two programs
operate within the school:
FOUNDATIONS - for children Birth - 3 years held
on Mondays from 1.30 - 3:00 p.m.
STEPPING STONES - for children who will be
attending Kindergarten in 2009. Held on Wednesdays from 1:30 - 3:00pm
SPECIALIST LESSONS
All classes
have one Music, one Library and two Physical Education lessons each week.
An ICT (Computer) lesson is also provided for Grade 1/2 and 2/3 classes this
year.
PERCEPTUAL MOTOR
We recognise
the importance of the physical development of children. To this end we
have resourced each classroom with additional equipment and programs for each
class to run a Perceptual Motor Program. This is run by classroom teachers
with parent participation.
